Dolphin Watching & Mangrove Cruise
| Code | QMSC1 |
| Price | MYR 360 per person |
| Duration | 3-4 hours |
Pick up at 1500hrs, drive from Kuching for about 45 mins in the direction of Damai beach. Board a small boat and start your cruise at the mouth of the Santubong & Salak Rivers. There is a chance to spot the elusive and rare Irrawaddy dolphin, which is quite common in this area. Sightings are, however, not guaranteed. Continue your cruise along the Salak River and enter the tributaries at the Kuching Wetlands National Park. Experience the lush mangrove forest and if the tide is out see the mudskippers and blue crabs on the river banks and if lucky maybe the odd small crocodile. Kingfishers and other birdlife are also commonly seen. Occasionally long-tailed macaques and groups of proboscis monkeys may be seen in the mangroves. Your cruise will also take you past Kampong Salak, a small Malay fishing village built on stilts. End your cruise at Kampong Santubong and transfer to your hotel.
Alternative Option: Tour can start at 0830 hrs.
Since you may be exposed to the hot tropical sun we strongly recommend that you bring along a cap, sun shades and sun block. Insect repellent is also recommended.
