Day 1 Kinabalu Park – Nature Walk – Mountain Garden (L, D)

0830 hrs – Depart hotel lobby for a 2 hrs journey through breathtaking scenery to Kinabalu Park, 88 km from Kota Kinabalu. Make a short stop at Nabalu market to savor the local fruits and see handicrafts that the villagers sell. Upon arrival at Kinabalu Park, check in at the park office and then take a guided nature walk with a park naturalist. Explore the mountain garden (open from 3 pm till 4 pm). The rest of the afternoon is free for you to relax or explore the park surroundings on your own. Overnight stay at the twin-bedded cabins at Kinabalu Park (or equivalent).

Day 2 Laban Rata (B, L, D)

Following breakfast, proceed on the journey to the Power Station (15 minutes) by coach. Commence climb to Laban Rata with packed lunch. The climb will take approximately 4-5 hours. Check-in at the Laban Rata Guesthouse or the non-heated lodge and the rest of the afternoon is free at leisure. Have dinner and overnight (dormitory bunk-beds). Note: All accommodation at the mountain huts are dormitory type with basic bedding and common bathroom.

Day 3 Kinabalu Summit – Departure (B, L)

Wake up as early as 0200 hours and commence the climb to the summit by torchlight. The climb will take about 3 hours. Witness the beautiful sunrise at the summit at around 0600 hours. Descend to Laban Rata Guesthouse for breakfast, then to the Power Station. Transfer to the park’s restaurant (or equivalent) for lunch. Collect your climbing certificate before returning to Kota Kinabalu.

Includes 01 night stay at Kinabalu Park (or equivalent), 01 night stay at Laban Rata Guesthouse or non-heated lodge, scheduled return transfer, meals as stated: B=breakfast, L=lunch & D=dinner, applicable entrance fees, climbing permit, climbing certificate & climbing insurance, services of a mountain guide.
Excludes Items not indicated in the itinerary, optional tours, soft drinks, juices & alcoholic beverages, porters, surcharge of RM25 per person / per way for transfer to/from Kinarut hotels / resorts.

In order to keep our prices down these tours operate on the principle that you may be in a small group of other people. Please do note the pick-up time for the tour departure (these times are generally fixed); and do not forget to indicate the name of your hotel. These details will of course be reconfirmed to you before you start your tour.
