Day 1 Sandakan – Selingan Turtle Island (L, D)

Pick up from Sandakan airport / hotel and transfer to the jetty for an hour’s trip by speedboat to Selingan Turtle Island. Check in at one of the chalets on the island and have lunch at the restaurant. The afternoon is free for relaxing, bird watching or snorkeling. In the evening, a park ranger will escort you to watch one of the green turtles that have come ashore to lay their eggs. Overnight at the park chalets.

Day 2 Selingan – Sepilok – Kinabatangan River (Abai) (B, L)

Depart Selingan for Sandakan by boat. Arrive Sandakan jetty and transfer to the Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary where captive orang utans are reintroduced into the wild. You will be able to observe them at their feeding stations in the rainforest and see a video presentation on the orang utan rehabilitation programme.  Then transfer back to the jetty in Sandakan for a boat excursion that brings you to the pristine mangrove forests along the Kinabatangan River delta in search of proboscis monkeys, birds and reptiles. Lunch is provided in the Abai Jungle Restaurant. Return to Sandakan in the afternoon, then transfer to hotel or airport for your flight out.

Includes English speaking guide, tours & transfers, entrance fees, meals as indicated, 01 night stay at park chalet Selingan.
Excludes Airfare: KK - Sandakan – KK, alcoholic beverages, juices, camera & video fees.
