0815hrs – Depart for Semenggoh Wildlife Centre located 24 kilometres from the centre of Kuching. This orangutan rehabilitation centre trains orphaned or rescued orangutans how to survive in the wild. Over 20 orangutans live in forest within the nature reserve and often return to the centre at feeding times. Upon arrival head to the feeding area to watch the orangutans come down from the trees for a free meal. This tour to Semenggoh is arranged to coincide with the morning orangutan feeding time which takes place at approximately 0900-0930 hrs.

Food & beverages
We operate fixed departure, small group tours to Semenggoh on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We can arrange private tours to Semenggoh on any day. Please email us on [email protected] to arrange a tour on dates not shown in the booking engine.
Note that during the fruiting season the orangutans at Semenggoh often have sufficient food and therefore do not come down to the feeding area. As such, in December and January there are days when no orangutans come to the feeding areas.
